  Your views and ideas on forum areas and organization?

  this may come as a shock to some people, but the current forum structure was kind of thrown together without much real thought and then evolved a bit over time.

  there are a few things that particularly grate on me and areas where i don't think the subjects work particularly well.

  'friends' is a bit vague and becomes a dumping ground, news & world events vs politics & current affairs is hard to decide sometimes, child abuse is a scandal but isn't contained withing 'scandals & coverups' etc.... with a new forum platform imminent, it's a good time to solicit ideas to improve things.

  One other suggestion I have is reducing the column width of posts. Wide columns are more difficult to read - it's easier to jump to the wrong line when when finishing one line and starting to read a new one. Also, because the colums are so wide, If an older person zooms the page to make the text more readable, then it's impossible to read the full column width and see the name and avatar of the poster without having to keep using the horizontal scroll bar. A narrower column width with more margin space either side of the page would easily resolve these issues.

  One suggestion I have is getting a new set of default avatar images. Currently a new user is given a comedic, alien-monster-esque avatar by default. Those avatars, in my view, detract from the image of the site. It gives the site and its posters an aura of immaturity and may in some way detract from the credibility and seriousness of some of the discussions - if only subconsciously.

  Imagine what happens when a newly awakening but still indoctrinated, demoniphobic JW comes on here and sees these avatars that look like little monsters: "Oh look! Demonic images! " Let's not forget that there are indoctrinated JWs who equate any monster-like images with demonism.

  "So, how many tracts did you place last month during the campaign???"

  as we all know, the org now wants everyone to count the number of flimsy, one page tracts on every monthly report from now on.... so, what is the general buzz around the traps about how many the average witness is reported to have placed?.

  (yes, it is a seriously stupid thing designed to keep the flock busy and also designed to measure their 'spirituality').

  i need to fudge my report, and i havent got the foggiest clue what sort of numbers each witness has on average 'placed'......

  let's start with a very basic common sense question.. if you needed surgery would you go to a graduate of medical school who had been practicing for awhile,.

  or would you go to an amateur who told you god would be telling him how to peform surgery?.

  don't laugh.. it is a serious question!.

  They are experts at deceiving the biblically ignorant with fallacious reasoning, misapplied scriptures, twisted scripture interpretations and psychological manipulation.

  They prey on people who are biblically illiterate. Ever notice how the majority of JW converts formerly belonged to churches that had weak bible study programs? You rarely find JWs converting from churches that study the bible deeply.

  When you're biblically ignorant its easy for Watchtower spin scriptures and deceive you. This can be seen in how JWs always find particular Watchtower teachings so logical and so biblical ... yet those very same teachings are later discarded or "corrected" with a new understanding supported by new logic and new scriptures. How is it that the JWs couldn't see the teaching was wrong all along? This proves that JWs are easily deceived by Watchtower.

  You just turned twenty this year, which means you're learning TTATT (The Truth About The Truth) at a young age while you still have your whole life ahead of you. Consider yourself fortunate compared with some who learned TTATT late in life after having wasted their prime years - most of their life - slaving for Watchtower, passing up education and employment opportunities for Watchtower, etc.

  No. On the contrary, your life has been saved from the enslaving clutches of Watchtower.

  my elder friend told me that his kh is in need of upgrading their electronic system so that they can be ready for the big zone meeting in november and they need the flat screen televisions mounted to also enjoy all future special meetings put on by the branch.

  the branch has given them the exact specifications and he mentioned the branch wants to use apple products.

  they passed a resolution for a one time donation by the publishers to pay for the $6,000.00 system.

  Wow! The more I listen to him the more I see the hospital behaving like Watchtower: "Don't go on the internet, you're at a hospital listen to us". See 8:27-8:34. LOL
